Warranty & Service Guarantee

Effective Date: January 2, 2026

At Golden State Water Heaters, we stand behind our workmanship and the products we install. This page explains what is covered, what is not, and how warranty claims are handled — clearly and honestly.

1. Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our installation and service workmanship for one (1) year from the date of completed service, unless otherwise stated in writing.

If an issue arises that is directly related to our workmanship during this period, we will repair it at no labor cost to you.

This guarantee applies only to work performed by Golden State Water Heaters.

2. Manufacturer Warranties

Water heaters, parts, and accessories installed by us are covered by manufacturer warranties, not by Golden State Water Heaters.

  • Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are determined by the manufacturer.

  • We do not control manufacturer warranty approvals or denials.

  • Labor for manufacturer warranty claims may or may not be covered, depending on the manufacturer’s policy.

We will assist with manufacturer warranty claims when reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee outcomes.

3. What Is NOT Covered

Our warranty and service guarantee does not cover issues resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improper use, abuse, or neglect

  • Lack of required maintenance

  • Modifications or repairs by others

  • Water quality issues (hard water, sediment, corrosion, scale buildup)

  • Code changes after installation

  • Acts of God (flooding, earthquakes, fire, power surges, etc.)

  • Failure of existing plumbing, gas, venting, electrical, or structural components

Existing or pre-existing conditions are excluded.

4. Service Call Requirements

  • Warranty service must be requested within the applicable warranty period.

  • Proof of original service may be required.

  • Access to the equipment must be provided.

  • Emergency, after-hours, or expedited service may incur additional charges, even if the issue is warranty-related.

5. No Coverage for DIY or Third-Party Work

Any attempt to repair, modify, or alter installed equipment by anyone other than Golden State Water Heaters voids our workmanship guarantee.

This includes homeowner repairs, handyman work, or service by other contractors.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or correction of our workmanship.

We are not responsible for:

  • Property damage beyond the immediate work area

  • Loss of use, inconvenience, or downtime

  • Incidental or consequential damages

Some limitations may not apply where prohibited by law.

7. Transferability

Unless stated otherwise in writing, this warranty applies only to the original customer at the original installation location and is not transferable.
